We're excited to unveil a new era for our local union, one marked by transparency and inclusivity. Our platform is tailored to empower every member, ensuring your voices resonate loudly in every decision we make.
In this fresh approach, transparency takes precedence. No longer will we operate under the vision, approach, or dictates of one individual. Instead, we're committed to full member engagement. What's best for our members? What's best for our union? We want your input to shape our direction. We reject tyranny, absolutism, or dictatorship in favor of genuine democracy.
We urge all members to contribute their perspectives on crucial matters. Do you seek better annuities? Do you support lowering the retirement age? Would you like to explore adding PTO to our benefits package? Your feedback matters. An engaged membership is a potent catalyst for positive transformation. Our goal is to foster a culture where each member feels valued and respected.
Transparency ranks high on our agenda. We're committed to opening our financial books, explaining our expenditures, operations, and board functions. It's your right to know. Together, we can forge a stronger, more dynamic union that authentically represents us all.
This union isn't about one person wielding power or controlling actions. It's not about one person making decisions for you or ruling through fear. It's not about one person shaping the narrative while offering members mere illusions of well-being. Tyranny has no place here. Our union thrives on the efforts of its members. We're nothing without our rank and file. It's time to rebuild from the grassroots. Together, our collective strength and achievements know no bounds. Together, we operate as one United Team.

Business Manager Candidate
Dear brothers and sisters,
I want to address some important questions about our current administration. Why is it difficult to ask questions about where our money goes and why specific details about proceedings are not provided? Why are the e-board minutes so closely guarded, creating confusion for both you and me?
Some may argue that I lack the experience to handle financial and leadership responsibilities, but I urge you to review my career timeline. Have I ever shied away from leadership or challenges? I am frustrated by the lack of transparency within our organization, where there seems to be a secretive culture with different rules for administrators compared to members.
Do members truly have control over our Union, or is this merely a facade? I don't claim to be the smartest person in the room, but I do promise to be one of the hardest workers, dedicated to supporting our membership with integrity and honor. My motivation lies in serving our collective interests, not personal gain.
This is about empowering the deserving membership. I challenge both the current administration and the entire Union to line up two groups outside the school or Union Hall: one consisting of those I have neglected and failed to assist, and the other composed of apprentices, journeymen, contractors, municipal workers, and members of any race, gender, color, and creed, who have sought my help. Let's determine which line is longer.
I have not taken any actions in this Union solely for my own benefit. I urge the present business manager and administration to honestly assess whether they can say the same. My commitment is to do everything within my power to improve the lives of the members of local 130 now and in the future.
My words come from the depths of my heart, and my faith guides me to uphold my promises with integrity. I am a union member, not a self-serving politician.
Thank you for your time and consideration. May God bless you and your families

Brothers and Sisters, I hold a fundamental disagreement with the current operation of our Union. While our Executive Board serves as the temporary governing body elected to manage local business between Union Meetings, recognizing that they are NOT the sole governing authority. As members of this great local, you collectively constitute the governing body, and your voice should always hold the ultimate weight. If I am chosen to be your Financial Secretary Treasure I will fight to bring back your rights to know and contribute your thoughts on how our local money is spent
My goals for the office of Financial Secretary-Treasurer are to:
● Increase overall Transparency on all Local business
● All expenditures of our funds (the General Fund, Target Fund, Building Fund, and PAC Fund) should be reported and shared with you in a clear and concise format.
● Amend the bylaws to require the Executive Board to read its resolutions and all business brought before it, asking for approval from the membership before making any major expenditures.
● To build up an adequate reserve for our general fund, and to stop extravagant spending until we do.

My vision for our Local is to bring back transparency & accountability . Our members pay a lot in dues and should know where and how their money is spent. They should be informed monthly by hearing Executive Board minutes. These minutes are not privileged information and should be approved monthly by the membership. Just because this is how we’ve always done it, doesn’t make it right.
Our team and staff will work to help modernize our processes and procedures within our Union. We have made some strides in these areas thanks to Ken Turnquist, but have much more work to do. Our bonding process for our contractors is lacking. How we monitor which contractors have the proper bonding is poor. The proper bonding is the way the Union can help protect the benefits that you have earned.
Vote for every brother and sister's voice!
What about our general fund?
Transparency.
Be part of a historic change to better our future.
